Scheduled
On Thursday March 14th, we will perform a database maintenance procedure that may incur a brief degradation of our service. We expect that most customers will not notice the degradation.

In most cases this procedure will result in one skipped polling cycle. In the worst case we expect a gap in updates and delayed actions for at most 15 minutes.

What to expect during the maintenance window:
- Sending of commands and device polling may be briefly suspended (see above)
- Some commands might be accepted and queued, but sending might be delayed
- Delays in smart charging plans and related commands likewise are to be expected
- Linking remains operational, but the first device update after linking might get delayed
- Read operations, especially for cached device state, will remain functional
- Write operations are still possible, but may encounter a temporary increase in 503 Service Unavailable errors; retries are expected to be successful

How to prepare:
- Inform your IT operations team to expect increased error rate from us during the maintenance window
- Consider implementing a retry mechanism on 5xx responses if you haven't already

We have chosen this maintenance window based on traffic patterns to minimize impact on your operations. We understand the importance of maintaining continuous service and have structured this maintenance to minimize disruption while still achieving the necessary updates.

This maintenance is critical for ensuring the sustainability and scalability of our services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

If you have any concerns, questions, or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
